I am much like you and trying to start a new web business selling homemade items, all cute and girly stuff. I can't even finish my website at the moment (too time consuming for me), however, I do have a business plan. I have two brick and mortar stores that have offered to sell/display my items once i have enough finished. I also plan on getting the website address out there by going to the 2 local elementary school's PTAs. I plan on making flyers and offering 10% of the sales to go to the local school(one week only with a coupon code). I figured I may not sell a lot at first, but it's getting the name out there with some really cheap advertising. The schools do this all the time for Chick-fil-a, Sonic and a local drug store.
